Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms. Ballet teaches core strength, alignment, placement, balance and poise. Ballet shoes required.

Pointe Prep

Dancers wear ballet shoes and begin to prepare for their advancement onto pointe. Additional ballet class enrollment required.

Lyrical

Lyrical is the combination of jazz technique, ballet technique and creative movement with the body. Dancers are able to express themselves more freely, exercising specific dance moves such as leaps, turns, while interpreting the music.

Contemporary / Improv

Both structured and free improvisations aimed at developing creativity, spontaneous decision-making, freedom of movement, and confidence in performance. Also taken for movement practice, performance technique and a tool for creating choreography.

Jazz

Jazz relies on the dancers classical ballet training and dance technique. Jazz dance pushes the dancer to connect emotionally and physically to the music. Jazz dance has a huge range of styles: theater and Broadway jazz, classical, modern, lyrical, funk, African, contemporary and more.

Hip Hop

Hip-hop dance is characterized as hard-hitting involving flexibility and isolations, moving a certain body part independently from others. In addition, new style hip-hop is very rhythmic and emphasis is placed on musicality, how sensitive your movements are to the music, and being able to freestyle.

Tap

Tap develops coordination, rhythmic skills, stamina and musicality. Basic techniques and rhythms taught, focusing on control, speed and clarity of sounds. Tap shoes required.

Musical Theatre

Classes consist of basic warm-ups, stage movement and basic dance skills incorporated into different musicals. Classes also include interactive games and exercises to enhance acting skills, confidence on stage and characterization.

Acro

Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamentals acrobatic technique and is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.
